Celebration Of The Seven Sayings Of Our Lord And Savior, Jesus Christ

Feast of the Passover (Commemoration of the death of our Lord on the cross)

The Passover Lamb of God.

JOHN 1:29 “Behold! The lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
Jesus is the very Lamb of God and the Bride are the people of God, which is the church. The Bible talks about the Lamb which is meek, selfless, caring, loving, faithful, and willing to give its life to benefit others.

The Passover Lamb
It is the story of Israel that was in bondage in the Land of Egypt, and God remembered HIS promise to remove Israel from Egypt after 400 years of sojourning.
Exodus 12:1-13/21-23
1. Now the Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, 2. This month shall be the beginning of months for you; it is to be the first month of the year to you. [The Jewish calendar was based on lunar months rather than solar months as our present calendar which was Roman. The first month was called Abib (Exodus 13:4) until the exile. Afterward it was renamed Nisan (Nehemiah 2:1) It corresponds to our modern calendar starting in the latter part of March until the 3 week of April]. 3. Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth of this month, each family should take a lamb for themselves, according to their fathers’ households, a lamb for each household. 4. Now if the household is too small for a lamb, the he and his neighbor nearest to his house are to take one according to the number of person in them; according to what each man should eat, you are to divide the lamb. 5. The lamb should be unblemished male a yearling; you may take it from a sheep or from the goats. 6. ‘And thou shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month, then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel is to kill it at twilight. [This is one of the most important yearly celebrations in Israel that even Jesus celebrated Passover with His disciples and the last Passover was when HE was caught, tried, and executed. Jesus became the perfect sacrifice, a lamb without blemish. Christ made a covenant to each partakers of HIS flesh and blood, (Holy Communion) John 6:53-54 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up in the last day. The male lamb sacrifice should be separated for 14 days (Sanctification process) to become pure because Christ, the sacrifice of God is pure and holy.]
7. “Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two door post and on the lintel of the houses in which they eat it. 8. And they shall eat the flesh that same night, roasted with fire, and they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. 9. Do not eat any of it raw or boiled at all with water, but rather roasted with fire, both its head and its legs along with its entrails. 10. and you shall not leave any of it over until morning, but whatever is left of it until morning, you shall burn with fire. 11. Now you shall eat in this manner: with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste—it is the Lord’s Passover. 12. ‘For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike down all the first born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments—I am the Lord.’ 13. ‘And the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.’
[The most significant part in the Passover is the very blood of the lamb that was slain,
it serves as a covering to guarantee their dangerous exposure from the angels of death destroying every male first born in every house that night. God said that if HE see the blood on their door post, HE will pass over and will not touch the house. It was imperative for each man to stay inside their house where the blood on their door post was place which signifies the sealed instruction from God to give them protection as a covenant people of God. The Lord God Almighty said that HE will put to judgment even to their Egyptian gods (those fallen angels that confounded and confused the people to worship Astarte, Baal, Isis, Amon-Ra, Huros, Semiramis, Tammuz, will be judge during that night too) to show that they are no gods at all.]
{Easter Sunday—comes from the worship of the pagan god Astarte, Baal comes from the pagan worship of NIMROD—who created the tower of babel and being worship in the Hindu Trinity as BRAHMA the god of creation. The goddess ISIS is part of the pagan Egyptian Trinity gods Astarte=the original Madonna; IHS symbol in the Roman cross=Isis, Huros, Semiramis. Tammuz was the worship of the sun god Ra in Egypt and in the Hindu Trinity is Vishnu, the preserver. He is the solar God, the very sun.}
Why is it that the blood is very important, what does it symbolizes?
Genesis 9:5-6 “And surely I will require your lifeblood, and from every beast I will require it. And from everyman, from every man’s brother I will require the life of man. 6. Whoever shed man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God HE made man.
Leviticus 17:10-11 And any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. 11. ‘For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altars to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’
Hebrews 9:19-22 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both book itself and all the people. 20. saying, “THIS IS THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT WHICH GOD COMMANDED YOU.” 21. And in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the vessels of ministry with blood. 22. And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

The Passover Lamb is the foreshadow of the coming of Christ offered to God to save mankind.
Hebrews 8:7-9 For if the first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for the second. 8. For finding fault with them, He says, “BEHOLD, DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD, WHEN I WILL EFFECT A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH; 9. NOT LIKE THE COVENANT WHICH I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS ON THE DAY WHEN I TOOK THEM BY THE HAND TO LEAD THEM OUT OF EGYPT; FOR THEY DID NOT CONTINUE IN MY COVENANT, AND I DID NOT CARE FOR THEM, SAYS THE LORD.
Hebrews 9:11-18 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, HE entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; 12. and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through HIS own blood, HE entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, 14. how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered HIMSELF without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15. And for this reason HE is the mediator of the new covenant, in order that since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who had been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16. For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. 17. For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. 18. Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood.
Hebrews 10:4-20
For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5. Therefore, when HE comes into the world, HE says, “SACRIFICE AND OFFERING THOU HAST NOT DESIRED. BUT A BODY THOU HAST PREPARED FOR ME; 6. IN WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES FOR SIN THOU HAS TAKEN NO PLEASURE. 7. THEN I SAID, ‘BEHOLD I HAVE COME (in the roll of the book it is written of Me)TO DO THY WILL, O GOD.’” 8. After saying above, “SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES FOR SIN THOU HAS NOT DESIRED, NOR HAS THOU TAKEN PLEASURE IN THEM in them”(which are offered according to the Law), 9. then HE said, “BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO THY WILL.” HE takes away the first in order to establish the second. 10. By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11. And every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifice, which can never take away sins; 12. But HE, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, 13. waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET. 14. For by one offering HE has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. 15. And the Holy Spirit also bear witness to us; for after saying, 16. “THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND UPON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,” HE then says, 17. “AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS WILL I REMEMBER NO MORE.” 18. Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin. 19. Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20. by a new and living way which HE inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, HIS flesh,
Christ was crucified outside the city.
Hebrews 13:11-14 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. 12. Therefore Jesus also, that HE might sanctify the people through HIS own blood suffered outside the gate. 13. Hence, let us go out to HIM outside the camp, bearing HIS reproach. 14. For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which to come.

Lamb without blemish.
I Peter 1:19-21
19. but with precious blood, as a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. 20. For HE was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you 21. who through HIM are believers in God, who raised HIM from the dead and gave HIM glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

And the people of God were released from bondage; God came to their rescue.
Exodus 12:29-33
29. And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the first-born of the captive that was in dungeon; and all the first-born of cattle. 30. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. 31. And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the lord, as ye have said. 32. Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also. 33. And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

So the Lord fulfilled HIS promised that HE is going to set free Israel from 400 years of bondage and HE had brought Israel to the promised land to the land of milk and honey. And Christ came to give us a better covenant, to give us clearer understanding of who God is, for Christ is the embodiment of God. And in HIS final coming; REVELATION 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. (NKJV)
